Cold-Formed Steel Framing for Drywall
Interior partition framing, ceiling assemblies, and the rest of the non-structural building envelope. The market TEKFAB has served the longest, on the largest scale.
Drywall framing, formally cold-formed steel nonstructural framing per AISI S220 and ASTM C645, is the bones inside the walls of nearly every commercial building in North America. Studs run vertically between top and bottom track. Track holds the stud spacing and ties the partition to slab. Joists and resilient channels handle the acoustic side of the assembly.
TEKFAB has been engineering drywall stud and track lines since the company was founded. The market is mature, the profiles are codified, and the buyers know exactly what they want. What separates lines is changeover speed, hole-pattern accuracy, and how much labor an operator needs to keep production running. Those are the three numbers our customers buy a TEKFAB line to improve.
A modern TEKFAB drywall line runs from 300 FPM stud to 500 FPM track, changes section by recipe in under a minute on servo-controlled platforms, and lands hole positions to AISI standard tolerance at full line speed. The accessories side (corner bead, joist, resilient channel, flashing) ships from the same line with an indexer or a quick-change tooling pass.
