Structural Framing

Load-bearing CFS framing for mid-rise, modular, and the rest of the structural envelope. Heavy and light gauge, AISI S240 territory.

Structural Cold-Formed Steel Framing

Structural cold-formed steel framing (AISI S240 / ASTM C955) carries the load — heavier gauge (10 through 20 ga), wider web (2-1/2" to 16"), and higher yield (Grade 50 to Grade 70) than drywall framing. The buyer is a structural manufacturer building for mid-rise, hotel, multifamily, and modular construction, where the steel actually carries weight.

TEKFAB built two lines for this market: the Heavy Gauge and Light Gauge Structural Roll Forming Lines. Both run the full SSMA structural envelope with servo-controlled gauging as standard; the heavy gauge platform adds AntiFlare end-flare control.

What sets a structural line apart from a drywall line is more pass stations, heavier drive trains, and tighter cut-length tolerance — the field installer attaches a clip and bolts the stud to slab and deck. The line that holds tolerance from coil to bundle is the line that doesn't have parts rejected on site.

TEKFAB experience

TEKFAB has indexed 281+ structural framing opportunities, with the largest US CFS framing manufacturer running multiple TEKFAB lines for the structural side of their portfolio.
