The TEKFAB Slotted Track Line produces top-of-wall deflection track with the vertical slot pattern already formed in the flange — the slot lets the stud move with the slab as the building deflects, without telegraphing into the drywall.

Slotted track is a specialty cold-formed steel product: the slot tolerance and slot end-radius drive the assembly's deflection rating, which is why the slot press has to hit the same dimensions every cycle at line speed. TEKFAB engineers the slot tooling, the press feed, and the in-line cutoff as one synchronized system.

The line is most often built around an in-line servo slot press downstream of the roll forming mill, with a flying cutoff after the press. A standalone slot press is also available as a retrofit to an existing track line.
